EcoMESH supplied and installed EcoMESH Adiabatic Systems on a York YCIV 457 chiller unit located in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in 2019. The chiller unit had a total capacity of 1467.1 kW and had been operating at an ambient temperature averaging 46°C, which required significant energy consumption.

Solution Implementation

EcoMESH was supplied to enhance the chiller's performance in extreme temperatures. The system was custom-designed to achieve optimum efficiency and seamlessly assembled on-site. It featured our advanced adiabatic cooling technology to pre-cool outside air before it passed through the condenser, reducing energy consumption and improving the operational efficiency of the existing unit.

Operating in the challenging climate of Saudi Arabia, the average working ambient temperature was 46°C. The EcoMESH Adiabatic System maintained an average cooling range of 10-15°C. Tests were conducted to gauge the system's overall impact.

Prior to EcoMESH installation, the chiller exhibited a kW input of 598.6 and a Coefficient of Performance (COP) of 2.2 at 46°C. Post-EcoMESH integration, after accomplishing a 15°C DeltaT, the kW input significantly dropped to 429, accompanied by an improved COP of 3.2. These results highlight substantial enhancements in energy efficiency and overall performance.
